Our Dordogne villas are scattered between St Cere in the East to Bergerac in the West. Around St Céré, the hills are steep and high, quickly rising to over 550 m above sea level; but going west from here the landscape assumes a more rugged character as it spreads out over the limestone plateaux. This is the setting for the astonishing Gouffre de Padirac with its mysterious underground river, and Rocamadour which is built vertically up the side of the cliff. You will also find wonderfully romantic castles like Montfort, Beynac and Castelnaud. Several of our villas in Dordogne are near to Sarlat with its lovely collection of medieval and renaissance buildings and many within easy access of Bergerac airport, and within easy reach of the great wines of St Emilion and Pomerol.
