Luberon Villa
When you stay in a Luberon villa you can stroll around the famous Provencal markets where every season is a celebration. On Tuesday morning you should not miss the farmers market in Apt with tasty fruits and vegetables, honey, jam, goat cheese or bread all coming from nearby. From November to March you will also find truffles that you can cook in your Luberon villa in the evening or the following day. Here is a simple recipe for a delicious meal called “brouillade aux truffes” or scrambled eggs with truffles. Take a plastic container, break your eggs and put inside the container which must then be sealed and placed inside a fridge for 24 hours; this will allow the eggs to become suffused with the subtle flavours of the truffles. Cook your scrambled eggs as usual and grate just a little bit of the truffle in top at the end before serving. You will find this delicious. In booking a villa in or near the Luberon you will also have the possibility to discover the vineyards of the region and its AOC wine “Côtes du Luberon” all located in the regional park. The reds are full bodied and the rosés are among the best Provencal Rosé wines.
