This charming house is a short distance, about five minutes by car, from the centre of Sarlat. The town provides a good selection of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes, a wonderful market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and during the summer is quite lively. Off season the town provides theatre, concerts, even a film festival. But what makes the town so fascinating is its wonderful collection of medieval and renaissance buildings. Favourites must be La Maison de Beotie, the mysterious Lanterne des Morts, Hotel Plamon amongst many others to see and admire. Just 200 m from the house is a grocery/boulangerie. Sarlat is on the triangle made by the Dordogne valley, with it beautiful villages and castles to the south, Montignac to the North and the Vezere valley with it wealth of pre-historical sites to the west.
DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION
On the ground floor is a kitchen with a microwave as well as an ordinary oven, fitted cupboards and a dishwasher as well as chairs and a table to seat 6. Off the kitchen is a sitting room/dining room with, at one end a sofa and two armchairs arranged in front of a TV with dvd a CD player and a fireplace; at the other end is a dining table and chairs. There is utility room with a washing machine and a separate WC. Stairs rise to the first floor, which has a bathroom/WC, and three bedrooms: two with a double bed and one with two single beds and a dressing room. The house has wall mounted radiators and ping-pong table.
The house sits in grounds of 2000m2 largely given over to rough mown grass. There is a terrace bordered with wild flowers which runs along the front of the house, and a 9m x 4m swimming pool which has Roman steps.
