This comfortable house is situated in the little village of Ste Colombe in the Charente Maritime about three-quarters of an hour’s drive north-east of Bordeaux. The countryside is given over to pasture, small vineyards and farms interspersed with mixed woodland. There is a grocery at Chapniers, 2km away, and more shops and boulangerie 3km away at Pouillac. There are tennis courts and golf at Montendre 12km away. There is also an excellent water park (pool, slides etc.) about 8km away and, of course, plenty of good little restaurants within a radius of 8km. A nautic complex and water therapy are just a few kilometres away.
DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION
This is the owners’ principal residence. They retain the use of a small apartment at the back of the house; they are discreet and will respect your privacy. You enter the house into an entrance area which is open to the kitchen on your right. There are fitted cupboards, a dishwasher, a microwave and cooker. The floor is terracotta and French windows open onto the pool terrace. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in a separate utility room. The kitchen is furnished with a large table to seat 8. On the other side of the entrance is a large living room with comfortable seating and TV. The accommodation is on the ground floor. There are four bedrooms, two with double beds each and two with 2 single beds each. There is one separate shower room as well as a bathroom with a shower and a bath and two separate WCs.
This is a very pleasant house; outside there is a spacious garden partly under shady trees, partly grassed, and a 11m x 6m swimming pool with terrace which is for the exclusive use of French Affair clients.
