This is off a very small narrow road with old stone houses coloured by green shutters and pink roses tremieres typical of the area. The large house and its garden are hidden behind a stone wall and a green old wooden door in a most convenient location less than a minute's walk from the local market place of Le Bois Plage. In summer the market takes place every day and you will find fresh, colourful fruits and vegetables without having to drive; around the market square are two restaurants with sunny terraces. A little further walk are more shops and restaurants. You are in the centre of Le Bois Plage en Re in which are several sandy beaches within 5-6 minutes walk from the house. The village is located on the southern coast of Ile de Re between La Couarde and Ste Marie, and opposite to St Martin the capital on the northern side.
DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION
You enter the house via the front door into the main living area with dining table and chairs for 8 and a sitting area with comfortable sofas and armchairs facing a fireplace; there is a CD player and French windows which open onto the terrace. This room narrows at one end and leads to the master double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. There is also a separate WC and a utility room with washing machine and dryer. On the opposite side of the living area a door opens into a smart pale blue modern fitted kitchen with dishwasher and microwave; a small bar separates this from a TV area with video, DVD, telephone and comfortable sitting. Next to this is a double bedroom with its own shower room.
Access to a central patio is possible from the dining room as well as from the kitchen; this is nicely paved and perfect for leisurely breakfasts. From the TV area, an open tread set of stairs comes up to a double bedroom and a twin bedroom which share a shower room and a separate WC. Please note that this house is non smoking and that the owner only accepts 2 weeks booking.
